DESTINATION GUIDES
Recently I’ve been seeing quite a few posts with people saying, ‘We’re moving to Africa,’ or ‘We’re going to Africa.’ And then they get roasted in the comments! Africa is a big, big continent; fifty-four countries, thousands of cultures, hundreds of languages and landscapes that range from dry deserts to rugged coastlines and everything in between. The only way to tackle it is like you would a giant cookie: one country at a time.
Travel guides become outdated, which is why I do my best to keep this blog as current as possible. After almost 30 years in the safari travel industry, I’ve definitely picked up a few things along the way.
Here you’ll find practical travel tips, safari advice, destination inspiration and the kind of information I wish more travellers knew before they arrived.
FAMILY TRAVEL
Some of my favourite safari memories involve seeing Africa through someone else’s eyes. Whether it’s a child spotting their first giraffe, grandparents sharing stories around a campfire, or adult ‘children’ travelling with their parents, a safari has a unique way of bringing people together.
If you’re planning an African adventure with family or friends, this is the place where you’ll find destination ideas, practical travel advice and educational resources to help make the most of your journey.
For the children, I have also created the Kids’ Safari Club and my Explorer Series, which is perfect for young explorers to really get involved in a variety of fun, learning experiences.
